This year the cost is £30 per camper and £10 per day visitor (per day).
Children under 6 years old are free!
Not an issue, we are Scouts and we are resourceful! As long as you give us the heads up then we should be able to source you a tent - but please bear in mind this can only be done on a 1st come, 1st served basis... so be quick with your requests!
How have you never camped before?! It's awesome!
Family Camp is the perfect 1st camp as we do most the work and provide all the fun!
This is the little bit of safeguarding admin we have to do, as per the rules of the Scout Association.
It is painless and doesn't take too long.
Not a problem!
Just make sure you pop it on the form when you book and we will make sure we cater for you! It's the same for all dietary requirements!
No of course not! (or at least we hope not!).
However, it is the UK so be prepared for rain but hopefully the sun will be shining!
Right next to where we are camping is a fully functioning toilet block to ease your fears!
So no need to dig a hole when you need to go!
We will be making use of a small hut next to where we are camping which will have power. However, we recommend that you bring one of those useful power blocks to use instead as other vital equipment will be filling those precious sockets!
(Or go off grid for a weekend!)
YES! We don't want the stench of unwashed humans wafting across the site! The toilet block also have a shower facilities within it.
Or we could simply chuck a bucket of water over you? Up to you!
Simple answer is no.
However, and surplus or deficit in terms of monies coming in for the camp will be taken from or put into group funds after the event.
Cash, card or bank transfer!
If you wish to pay by cash or card please do so on a section evening (the Beaver Section at current can only accept cash).
If you pay via bank transfer then please put a clear reference as to what the payment is for and email Dave (Scout Leader) on dave.norris@kentscouts.org.uk to let us know you have paid.
We do allow sensible drinking at our Family Camps. Please bear in mind though it is just that... a FAMILY CAMP.
Please drink in moderation if you wish to do so and we don't like day time drinkers... theres a time and a place!
Over 18's only.
The leaders will lead these efforts as we are used to doing so on camp. However, we are not super human and will need help with the 'chores' so please help out where possible... we can fully enjoy the camp too then!
